They appear in various forms \u2013 spheres, fibres, irregular fragments \u2013 and are now ubiquitous in air, water, soil and living organisms.&lt;\/p&gt;\">microplastics<\/span> and <span class=\"glossario-term\" data-definition=\"&lt;p&gt;Extremely small plastic particles, smaller than 0.1 \u00b5m. They are more difficult to detect and can penetrate cells and deep tissues.&lt;\/p&gt;\">nanoplastics<\/span> in healthy individuals, and the possibility of promoting their elimination through a natural fibre derived from Procambarus clarkii (PCC-<span class=\"glossario-term\" data-definition=\"&lt;p&gt;A natural fibre derived from chitin, found in the exoskeleton of crustaceans such as Procambarus clarkii. It is used for its ability to bind microplastics, adsorb metals, and for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.&lt;\/p&gt;\">chitosan<\/span>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But more than the results themselves, it is the overall picture that carries transformative value: <span class=\"glossario-term\" data-definition=\"&lt;p&gt;Plastic fragments ranging from 0.1 \u00b5m to 5 mm in size, originating from primary microplastics (pellets, cosmetic microspheres) or secondary ones (breakdown of larger plastics). They appear in various forms \u2013 spheres, fibres, irregular fragments \u2013 and are now ubiquitous in air, water, soil and living organisms.&lt;\/p&gt;\">microplastics<\/span> are not a distant threat, but a bodily reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They have been detected in the blood, liver, brain and endocrine tissues. An earlier study<strong><u><sup>2<\/sup><\/u><\/strong> had in fact already identified them in atherosclerotic plaques, linked to a significant increase in heart attacks and strokes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The body as a place of contamination (and healing)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Faced with this evidence, Professor Cornelli\u2019s position is clear: we must rethink the very concept of health. The human body has become an environmental sentinel \u2013 it retains, records and suffers what happens outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ecology, therefore, is not only about recycling or emissions: it is a matter of physiological balance. It is used for its ability to bind microplastics, adsorb metals, and for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.&lt;\/p&gt;\">chitosan<\/span>): after only 24 hours, the excretion of <span class=\"glossario-term\" data-definition=\"&lt;p&gt;Plastic fragments ranging from 0.1 \u00b5m to 5 mm in size, originating from primary microplastics (pellets, cosmetic microspheres) or secondary ones (breakdown of larger plastics). They appear in various forms \u2013 spheres, fibres, irregular fragments \u2013 and are now ubiquitous in air, water, soil and living organisms.&lt;\/p&gt;\">microplastics<\/span> increased by 45%. Not only that \u2013 the expelled particles were found to be altered in shape and selectively bound to synthetic fibres such as PET and polyethylene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is not merely a technical finding. It is tangible evidence that the body can be supported in eliminating its toxic load \u2013 that there exists a natural, compatible way to enhance its internal mechanisms<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As Professor Cornelli explains: \u201cThe elimination or reduction of <span class=\"glossario-term\" data-definition=\"&lt;p&gt;Plastic fragments ranging from 0.1 \u00b5m to 5 mm in size, originating from primary microplastics (pellets, cosmetic microspheres) or secondary ones (breakdown of larger plastics). They appear in various forms \u2013 spheres, fibres, irregular fragments \u2013 and are now ubiquitous in air, water, soil and living organisms.&lt;\/p&gt;\">microplastics<\/span> ingested with food \u2018cools down\u2019 the inflammatory processes they cause in all organs and prevents the progression of lesions by isolating them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This minimises damage to organs, allowing them to maintain their function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span class=\"glossario-term\" data-definition=\"&lt;p&gt;A branch of nutraceutics based on integrity, balance, vitality and personalisation, recognising the link between nutrition and health.
